New Year's Eve 2009

A group of us revisited the spots where Iris and I had our first New Year's Eve in our second incarnation 15 years ago, December 31, 1994. Back then it was Don and Lenor Schellhaas, the late Clovis Luquette and Richard and Beverly Vidacovich.

   
First, Dinner at Deanie's          Then to the Roosevelt Hotel, where the lobby has been
In Bucktown.   Clockwise:        restored almost completely to it's pre-Fairmont condition

The clock is new, but everything else, including the elevators the front desk and the            The Sazerac was almost empty 
Sazerac Bar are just like they were in the "olden" days.                                                              in 1994 but it was jammed in
                                                                                                                                                                   2009 so we settled for the coffee
                                                                                                                                                                   shop in the old Lobby Bar.
