*A few details on Appollonia Steinel Frey Thornton:  She had at least two children in her marriage with Jacob Frey, Edward John Frey and Annie Frey. Pauline (or Appollonia) was born in Germany and moved to America when she was about five.  Her father was Christian Steinel (although the name looks like "Heindel" on the certificate.  Her mother's name appears to have been Marie.  The church, St. Francis de Sales, is listed on another document as being on Second Street, Richard reports.  The pastor is Fr. N. Simon.
